QuLearnLabs, a quantum technologies learning accelerator, and the Albanian Centre for Artificial Intelligence (AI Albania) announced a partnership in July 2025 to bring quantum computing education to Albania. The collaboration was facilitated through the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Deep Tech Talent Initiative, which connected the two organizations as pledgers.

According to the EIT announcement, the partnership involves co-creating and expanding advanced AI and quantum training programmes, including an introductory version of QuLearnLabs’ quantum computing course for Albanian participants. QuLearnLabs’ flagship programme, the AI-assisted Software Engineering in Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography course (AI-SEQ), was awarded by the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative to train quantum software engineers in Europe.

AI Albania, founded in 2023, is described as the first centre of AI excellence in Albania. A 12-week online quantum programme was scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with broader rollout planned for 2026.
