The Quantum Policy Forum’s flagship annual conference, bringing together senior policymakers, industry leaders, defense officials, and researchers for two days of structured dialogue on the governance questions that quantum technology raises.
A different kind of quantum conference
Quantum Bled is designed for the people who shape quantum policy, not the people who build quantum hardware. The conference centres on governance: how national strategies translate into action, where export control frameworks are converging or fragmenting, which PQC migration timelines are realistic and which are political signalling, and how the workforce gap will constrain everything else.
The format combines plenary sessions with closed-door roundtables under Chatham House Rule. Attendance is limited to ensure that the people in the room can speak with the candour the subject requires. Every session is structured to produce actionable insight, not panel performances.
Plenary sessions and closed-door roundtables. Limited attendance. Chatham House Rule where candour requires it.
Two days · Governance focus · Actionable outcomes
Why Bled
QPF is headquartered in Bled, and the conference takes its name from the town. Bled offers a combination of accessibility (Ljubljana Airport, plus direct connections to Munich, Vienna, and Zurich), intimacy (a conference setting where participants cannot avoid each other), and neutrality that the subject matter benefits from. Slovenia’s position at the intersection of Western and Central Europe, its EU and NATO membership, and its growing quantum research activity make it a natural venue for cross-jurisdictional policy dialogue.
Bled has hosted the Bled Strategic Forum since 2006, one of Europe’s established platforms for geopolitical and strategic dialogue. That tradition of senior-level policy exchange at the same venue is part of what makes Bled a credible setting for quantum governance discussions at the highest level.
First edition: September 2027
