In January 2023, the QTIndu (Quantum Technology Courses for Industry) project commenced, funded by the European Commission’s Digital Europe Programme through the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA). The project received €5.6 million and is coordinated by QURECA Spain SL, a pan-European consortium of 11 academic and industry partners.
According to the Quantum Flagship, QTIndu develops industry-specific quantum technology training programs to address the growing need for a quantum-ready workforce. Its core objectives include creating a harmonized pan-European short-term training program for enterprises and tailoring courses to the requirements of companies and SMEs from different business sectors.
Partners include the University of Helsinki, Delft University of Technology, Aarhus University, Technische Universitat Braunschweig, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, ICFO in Barcelona, and Airbus Defence and Space. Training programs are mapped to the Quantum Technology Competence Framework developed by the Quantum Flagship.
