In December 2022, Business Finland, the Finnish government’s innovation financing and trade promotion agency, launched a Quantum Computing Campaign. According to a joint announcement by the Academy of Finland and Business Finland, the two-year campaign was intended to build a globally attractive ecosystem for solving business challenges through quantum computing.
Business Finland said the campaign focused on development of software and applications, areas the agency identified as having large business potential. Services included funding advice, research calls, international partnership matching, and support for foreign companies seeking to participate in Finland’s quantum ecosystem. The campaign complemented existing quantum R&D support from the Academy of Finland and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
