Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland signed an agreement to collaborate on quantum science and technology under a new umbrella organization called InstituteQ: The Finnish Quantum Institute. According to the launch announcement, InstituteQ brings together expertise in research, education, and innovation across the three founding institutions.
Dr. Himadri Majumdar of VTT said InstituteQ would serve as a global window for Finnish quantum expertise and facilitate new international collaborations. The institute was structured around three pillars covering research, innovation, and education, with an open invitation for additional Finnish companies and institutions to join.
