French National Quantum Strategy allocates €100 million for workforce training across 21 universities

France’s National Quantum Strategy includes a €100 million training project involving 21 French universities to meet the need for skills in quantum technologies for engineers and researchers France 2030 Quantum Strategy workforce training page. The initiative is part of the strategy’s broader objective to form and attract talent through enhanced training programs, international university partnerships, scholarships, and facilitated access for high-potential individuals.

The training project aims to expand the pipeline of qualified personnel for France’s growing quantum technology sector. The National Quantum Strategy also establishes annual funding for 100 doctoral scholarships, 50 post-doctoral positions, and 10 young talent awards to support workforce development.

Implementation involves coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, and participating universities.
