IQM Partners with Hebrew University and Bar-Ilan University on Quantum Hardware Research

In March 2025, Finland-based IQM Quantum Computers announced a research cooperation with Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Bar-Ilan University, providing commercial-grade superconducting quantum computing hardware components to both institutions. The partnership was announced in a press release from IQM.

Hebrew University’s quantum research group led by Prof. Nadav Katz and Bar-Ilan’s group led by Prof. Michael Stern received the hardware for research purposes. IQM described the cooperation as “a significant milestone for our cooperation with the world-class quantum ecosystem in Israel.” All parties expressed interest in eventually extending the collaboration toward building full-stack quantum computers for scientific and commercial purposes in Israel.
