In March 2023, NVIDIA and Israel’s Quantum Machines announced the co-development of DGX Quantum, a hybrid quantum-classical computing system. The platform integrates NVIDIA’s Grace Hopper superchips with Quantum Machines’ OPX quantum control hardware, as reported by The Times of Israel.
DGX Quantum implements NVIDIA’s open-source CUDA-Q software platform for quantum-classical computing. The system was subsequently deployed at the Israeli Quantum Computing Center at Tel Aviv University, which was funded by the Israel Innovation Authority. NVIDIA’s quantum director Tim Costa said the system would “enable researchers to push the boundaries of quantum-classical computing.”
