On December 12, 2025, Israel joined the US-led Pax Silica Initiative at the inaugural summit in Washington, D.C. The coalition included the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia, according to The Times of Israel.

Pax Silica was described by the White House as bringing together countries with “the most cutting-edge AI supply chain ecosystems.” The initiative covers critical minerals, semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, advanced computing, and logistics, with the stated goal of reducing dependencies and protecting sensitive technologies from hostile access.

National Economic Council chairman Avi Simhon said Israel’s participation “is a badge of honor for the State of Israel and the Israeli hi-tech industry.” Israel’s delegation was sent at the directive of Prime Minister Netanyahu.
