As of January 2026, the Israeli government had not issued binding directives on post-quantum cryptography (PQC) migration, according to The Jerusalem Post. Defense sources told the newspaper that Israel was continuing to work on post-quantum encryption capabilities, but no publicly committed migration timeline had been established.

One analysis published in The Times of Israel noted that “Israel’s post-quantum migration is proceeding, but on no publicly committed timeline,” contrasting this with the United States, where NIST finalized post-quantum cryptographic standards in August 2024 and set federal migration deadlines for 2030 and 2035.
