The Research Council of Lithuania included the post-quantum resilience project QUARTIC in the Lithuanian Research Infrastructures Roadmap 2024, as of December 20, 2024. The roadmap identifies QUARTIC as one of two national-level research infrastructures in the area of data, computing, and digital infrastructure, alongside LitGrid-HPC.
Prof. Šarūnas Grigaliūnas, Head of the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Cybersecurity Competence Center, highlighted the inclusion as evidence of growing institutional commitment to post-quantum resilience in Lithuania. KTU has been collaborating with the Ministry of National Defence and the National Cyber Security Centre on post-quantum cryptography migration planning and risk-assessment methodologies for critical infrastructure.
According to the roadmap, QUARTIC and LitGrid-HPC are associated internationally with the EGI, EuroHPC, GÉANT, and TESTA infrastructures. The fourth edition of the roadmap sets long-term national and international priorities for research infrastructure investment.
