Netherlands Opens First House of Quantum Facility in Delft

On November 28, 2022, Quantum Delta NL opened the first location of the House of Quantum in Delft. Dutch Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy Micky Adriaansens officially opened the building. The facility is part of a planned national quantum campus consisting of multi-tenant buildings for quantum companies across the Netherlands.

Orange Quantum Systems, Qblox, Quantware, and QphoX were the first companies to move in. According to the announcement, the building offers plug-and-play fridges, workstations, modular office space, and meeting facilities. Additional locations were planned for Eindhoven, Amsterdam, and Twente, with a larger 12,000-square-meter main building scheduled to open in 2025.
