In May 2025, France, Germany, and the Netherlands announced the results of their first trilateral quantum innovation call, selecting projects with combined funding exceeding €30 million ($33.8 million). The call, launched in March 2024, attracted more than 120 applications from companies and research institutions across the three countries.

According to The Quantum Insider, French partners received approximately €11 million through France 2030. Selected projects included MEETQ, which targets the scaling of European quantum computing by interconnecting quantum memories and superconducting qubits, and AUTOCAT, which combines noise-biased cat qubits with advanced control electronics. Partners include IQM, Quandela, Alice&Bob, Qblox, and Sorbonne University.

The funded projects cover scalable quantum computing, secure quantum networks, and quantum sensing technologies. The trilateral initiative builds on the November 2022 cooperation statement and the June 2023 Dutch contribution of €60.2 million from the National Growth Fund.
