On June 30, 2023, Quantum Delta NL announced it had secured a €60.2 million ($66 million) investment from the National Growth Fund as the Dutch contribution to a trilateral quantum program with France and Germany. The total proposed budget for the joint program was €206.3 million.

According to the Quantum Delta NL announcement, the funding would be allocated in two modules: centers of excellence with shared facilities for startups, researchers, and corporations, and joint technology programs for strategic quantum R&D projects combined with equity investments. France and Germany committed to contribute through their own national funds.

Prior to this announcement, Quantum Delta NL had hosted a deep tech roundtable during the state visit of King Willem-Alexander and President Macron on April 12, 2023. Dutch and French CEOs in photonics, semiconductors, and quantum technologies agreed on the urgency for the three countries to join forces.
