Aramco and Pasqal announced on November 24, 2025, the successful deployment of Saudi Arabia’s first quantum computer at Aramco’s data center in Dhahran. According to Aramco’s announcement, the system was described as the Middle East’s first quantum computer dedicated to industrial applications.
Pasqal’s system, powered by neutral-atom technology, can control 200 qubits arranged in programmable two-dimensional arrays. It offers a platform for exploring advanced quantum algorithms and real-world use cases relevant to industrial operations. Pasqal CEO Loic Henriet called it “a historic milestone” and “a landmark for the Middle East’s quantum future.”
Wa’ed Ventures, part of Aramco’s venture capital program, initially invested in Pasqal in January 2023 and supported the company’s localization of technologies and operations in Saudi Arabia. As part of the partnership, Pasqal will provide training programs and joint research opportunities for Saudi engineers and scientists.
