UAE: Inaugural CyberQ Conference Held on Quantum-Era Cybersecurity

On November 12-13, 2024, the UAE Cyber Security Council and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) held the inaugural CyberQ: Security in the Quantum Era conference at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the event was attended by more than 1,000 experts from 110 countries.

During the conference, the UAE Cyber Security Council, TII, and QuantumGate formed a strategic partnership to develop advanced cryptographic solutions for countering quantum threats to current digital systems. QuantumGate was described as a new cybersecurity venture backed by ATRC’s VentureOne commercialization arm.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, announced plans to introduce three new cybersecurity policies by year-end, including executive regulations for the encryption law. The conference also registered a Guinness World Record for the largest number of people from different nationalities in a single quantum computing lesson.
