On April 10, 2026, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) published Securing Canadian quantum research and development, a guidance document for universities, colleges, and businesses conducting quantum research and development.
ISED says the document is intended to raise awareness of security risks and mitigation measures and to link users to relevant Government of Canada policies, regulations, programs, resources, and contacts. The associated PDF says the material was developed by the National Quantum Strategy secretariat in consultation with other federal bodies.
