Ukraine participated as an invited country at the G7 Industry, Technology and Digital Ministerial Meeting held on March 14-15, 2024, in Verona and Trento, Italy. The ministerial declaration confirmed that invitations were extended to Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting, co-chaired by Italy’s Minister of Enterprises Adolfo Urso and Undersecretary of State Alessio Butti, addressed the impact of digital innovation on economic growth and industrial competitiveness. Quantum computing was among the emerging technologies discussed, with the Italian Presidency bringing quantum technologies onto the G7 agenda for the first time. Ukraine also contributed to a compendium on digital government systems shared among G7 members and guest countries.
