FPT Corporation established its Quantum AI and Cyber Security Research Institute (QACI) on December 13, 2025, with a committed investment of USD 100 million, according to FPT Software. QACI is described as one of the first quantum research institutes founded by a Vietnamese enterprise.
Professor Ho Tu Bao serves as Scientific Director and Associate Professor Ngo Xuan Bach as Institute Director. QACI will focus on research and solution development, doctoral and advanced expert training, and international collaboration across quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
QACI was announced as part of a broader Strategic Technology Steering Committee at FPT comprising five units. FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh stated that the initiative supports Vietnam’s technological sovereignty in a context where the government has designated 11 national strategic technology domains.
