Vietnam launched three new national technology networks on August 25, 2025, including VNQuantum for quantum technology, ViSecurity for cybersecurity, and UAV Vietnam for aerospace, according to VietnamNet. The National Innovation Centre (NIC) and industry partners including Sovico Group support the networks.

VNQuantum is built on three pillars: training high-quality human resources, accelerating quantum technology applications in finance, healthcare, national security, and defense, and strengthening international collaboration for knowledge transfer. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung described the establishment of the three networks as part of a broader effort to shape policy and build commercial pathways for research.

According to the Vietnam Investment Review, the NIC has already facilitated 10 technology networks across 22 countries, connecting more than 2,000 scientists, engineers, and technology leaders. AI and semiconductor networks had been established in 2024, making VNQuantum part of an expanding ecosystem of national technology networks.
